Your Next Level Requires More Than Effort: The Power of a 7-Day Strategy.

What if the next level you have been hoping and praying for is not waiting on more effort, but on the right strategy?

This morning, I was reminded of the story of Jericho. It is believed that Jericho was one of the most fortified cities of its time.  The retaining wall of Jericho stood approximately 12–15 feet high. On top of that was a mudbrick wall about 6 feet thick and 20–26 feet high. From a human perspective, it seemed impenetrable.

Scripture tells us: "Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in." — Joshua 6:1. God, who is Almighty, could have brought those walls down in a single moment; yet instead of an instant miracle, He gave the children of Israel a 7-day strategy.

Joshua delivered the instructions, and the people followed them.  Can you imagine if some of them had said, "This is taking too long. Why can't we do it in two days instead of seven?" Or "This doesn't make sense to me, so I am not participating."

The walls did not come down because of human strength. They came down because of obedience to a God-given strategy.   Many people today are facing their own "Jericho walls." Perhaps there is a goal you cannot seem to reach, a business challenge that feels overwhelming, a relationship that appears stuck, or a dream that seems blocked from every direction.

When you find yourself in those moments, remember this: there is always a strategy for change. As a life and leadership strategist, I know that Success is rarely accidental, it is often the result of a clear strategy, consistent action, and the discipline to stay the course.

So, ask yourself: What is my strategy? Who am I taking my instructions from? Am I committed to the process, even when I don't yet see the results?

Sometimes the strategy God gives may take seven days. Other times it may take seven months or even two years. The timeline is not as important as your commitment to the process. Remember:   Don't focus solely on the time it is taking. Focus on the strategy and the One who gave it.

Who are you listening to? Seek wisdom. Ask for help. Employ the right strategies. Stay committed to the process. In due season, you will see the results. This is just one insight from a powerful 5-part series designed to help you grow, lead, and advance with purpose. Watch out for the remaining four tips coming soon.
